Come enjoy the thrill of victory and the hilarity of defeat! Buckeye Battledecks is back for the (almost-annual) 10th anniversary of the event. For the uninitiated, Battledecks is a test of nerves and the ultimate challenge for a public speaker (or someone who just likes to talk). Contestants will be asked to present on a plausible library Convention topic without ever previously seeing the presentation slides. But be prepared, these are not your typical stock image slides.

For the first time, Battledecks will feature real-time audience voting to help our ‘celebrity’ judges select the Battledecks Champion. Bring your smartphone to participate in voting.

The Local Arrangements Committee is seeking 10 contestants to join in the fun. If interested (or if you’d like to nominate someone from your library!), email olc@olc.org. We’ll be seeking contestants until all 10 spots are filled.
