Convention and Expo
September 28-30, 2022
Glass City Center
Toledo, Ohio
In recent years, libraries have demonstrated our critical role within their communities and have begun to realize the ways in which our patrons are impacted by a range of structural and systemic inequalities. We hear their stories as we have helped our marginalized communities recover. Their voices and their stories can help library staff at all levels understand others’ experiences. Libraries as an institution can ally with these communities and amplify their voices to strengthen and benefit everyone.
The 2022 Convention and Expo will provide an opportunity for library staff to engage with each other and with people outside of our profession in an intentional and thoughtful manner so that we may learn from one another, grow professionally, and improve the well-being of those around us. These critical conversations will invigorate your passion for library service and provide innovative ideas for library programs and services to reduce inequity throughout all of our communities.
